Prof. Thomas Andersson

Kenya

Thomas Andersson is Chairman of International Entrepreneurship Academy (Intentac) since 2007. He is also Senior Advisor to the Research Council, Sultanate of Oman. He previously served as the President of Jönköping University and Professor of International Economics at Jönköping International Business School. He is also a former deputy director of science technology and industry at the OECD, Assistant Under-Secretary and Head of the Structural Policy Secretariat in the Swedish Ministry of Industry and Commerce and a member of two expert groups of the European Commission.

Prof. Martin Kloti

Switzerland

Martin Kloti is a Professor for sustainability and future technology. He is also a board member of ‘New start Switzerland’ dealing with the installation of rich communities, sustainable use of space and soil, green and clean industries, careful use of resources and ‘Niutex’, a corporation to support the research and regional use of renewable fibre plants for textiles, construction material, plastics, energy. He previously served as Head of the Institute of Humanities and Nature Sciences of the School of Engineering at the North Western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Dr. Peggy Boateng

UNESCO

Dr. Peggy Oti‐Boateng is a Senior Programme Specialist, Basic & Engineering Sciences, United Nations, Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and a senior Research Fellow of the Technology Consultancy Centre (TCC), KNUST. Until August 2010 she was the Director of TCC from 2003‐2006 and 2007‐2010. She holds a PhD in Nutrition and Food Technology for the University of Adelaide, Australia. She has over 26 years professional experience in teaching, research and development and consultancy service in science, technology and innovation (STI). She has a passion for harnessing STI for solving basic needs of food, energy, water, health, sustainable environment for the poor and the promotion of technologies for the establishment of small scale enterprises for economic empowerment of women and job creation for both rural and urban communities.

Individual members

We have a growing network of Individual Members who do not have a student community at their university, but are taking action for sustainability in their local communities. Currently, we have a total of 111 individual members residing in 60 different countries.
